Hi this is my first post after a long time of reading so I will start with a Hello.

To be annoying my first post shall be a what car, which I am doing on behalf of a family member.

Now as said in the title the car that is needed is to be a workhorse that can tackle many miles.

The Criteria is:

A maximum budget of £5000.
A maximum of 3 doors is needed but needs to have adequate space to fit 4 people inside in comfort.
A car that has less than 60,000 miles already on it.
Has to be economical due to been put through around 100 miles a day.
Has to be a dealer car as a warranty is also wanted.

After a long time of reading on this site I beleive the people here are the best to help so any help on this matter would be appreciated.

Thanks

DLovett

I did have a think about the civic's as have heard about there reliability. No it is a maximum of 3 doors as the people that he escorts in the back of the car, cannot have an easy escape route. So he personally would prefer a 3 door.

3 door Focus TDCi.

The mileage will be the tricky part. People buy economical diesels to do big mileages, so finding a 4 or 5 year old one (to get within the budget) with less than 60k on it will be tricky. Or clocked.
