Dehumidifiers

I managed to pick up a bargian in the way of a dehumidifier today and was wondering what percentage humidity to set it to to keep the car "dry" in the garage over winter/when it is put away wet on damp days?

I suppose zero would be the answer but of course that wouldn't be practical and the running costs would be prohibitive.

The garage is fairly dry and has a fan that draws warm air from my workshop which has a CH rad in it.

Any thoughts?

The optimum setting would be anything less than 40% relative humidity.

At 40% and below the oxidisation of the metal significantly reduces to almost 0
