After seeing numerous adverts on PH for these car competitions (and not being able to now im actually looking)where you can win supercars in a prize draw for x amount of money, Im just wondering, are there any approx. sales figures for these draws? I.e. the chances of winning? I assume it would be 22,000:1 at least to accumulate upwards of £220k for the purchase price/promotion of say an F458?

Any figures or thought would be much appreciated smile

Most of them aren't draws but competitions.

I know The Best of the Best ones are competitions using spot the ball. Not sure about any others.

Does anyone know of someone who has ever won one?

AlunR on here won a Cayman I think. He's the reason I now play BOTB every month!

There was a PH'er fairly recently who won a Cayman IIRC!

Yes, there was a chap in Belfast that won an Aston Martin a few years ago.

They do these at www.corvettemuseum.com and there they actually tell you the odds as they sell a defined number of tickets and do the darw even if they don't sell the full allocation. Less tickets, the higher the cost obviously.

As long as you can arrange someone in the US to collect if you win, it looks good value and not a bad risk. I have entered a few times in the $10 draws but never won.

I see, I was under the impression that it was a raffle type draw smile

I've been playing for 6 months now and haven't won a single car. I think I must be pretty rubbish at it too.

But the ball isn't where it actually was in the photo, otherwise you'd be betting on the outcome of an event that has already happened which IIRC is illegal so the position required to win is selected by a panel of experts.

Oh! I didn't think of that....so basically the panel 'guess' where THEY think the ball should be based upon the positions of the players in the picture?

Is it somewhere reasonable or do they move it to top left?

It's always about where you would think it would be.

If you go on to their website I think you can view the previous months results. Not sure if you need an account to do that or not.
