E46 Alpina B3 vs W208 CLK55 AMG

These are both on my shortlist for my next purchase. Both similar types of cars although obviously the CLK is quicker.

Anyone have any opinions on either?

B3 are almost all autos, manual M3 much better IMO. B3s might be better than the standard B3, standard E46 issues effect all at high mileage (springs, trailing arm bushes etc.). CLK known to rust badly and be unreliable, hence huge depreciation.
