BMW Z4M vs Z4 3.0i

I am after a 'Weekend Plaything' that I may also use occasionally for going to and from work etc. I have had a BMW Z4 3.0i in the past and thought it was fantastic but the price of the Z4M has now come down a fair amount.
The question is this - is the Z4M worth the additional outlay over the 3.0i (around 5 - 7k more) or not? I know running costs, insurance, servicing, fuel etc will be more but it is not going to be used constantly so not too much of an issue.
