I wouldn't worry, with either 225 or 240bhp from the V6 (two different versions I think) I doubt the front wheels are likely to be over-powered at any point....

However sad that car is, anyone who generalizes "Americans with no class", should hang out with the owner. Same kind of people. I'd bet the owner of that car thinks Brits all have rotton teeth.

I have one, (a '98 240 hp) have had it since '03. Love it. It's in mid-resto right now, 100,000 mile check up. Fresh paint, shocks, some gaskets ect..

It's quite fast. Many aluminum parts. The numbers might lie a bit. It's supercharged fast. If you have ever had a supercharged car, you know what i mean. It can also overpower the wheels easily, and i have'nt installed a smaller pulley or turned the boost to full time yet.

The car also could be had with a non-supercharged version (200 hp) engine.

If you're referring to the thread title it was firmly tongue in cheek - I love the US, as evidenced by a string of yank motors, a yank missus, a yank business, a yank visa and the fact I've had more trips there than hot dinners smile

Do you have any concept of what 225BHP is like through the Front wheels?

I have driven one of these cars and they are not that bad.. deceptively nippy for what they are.

However due to my in-built aversion to FWD, I can not recommend them
