I've never seen a pub that has advertised a grand prix live and I was wondering if anyone else had. I'm mainly asking this question because I'm going to a show at the edinburgh festival and I'm going to be in the town over the period of the grand prix and I wouldn't mind seeing it in a pub with other people. If anyone has seen this phenomenon it would interest me and especially if you are in Edinburgh smile

Was on holiday in Newquay a few years back and found a pub that screened the F1... was the only time I was greatful for the ITV advert breaks as it meant I could have a swift tab.

F1, beer and a pasty: good afternoon, that!

I know where it is so I'll give it a shot. I'd just like to think that somewhere will show F1 rather than football frown

This is a great idea, I don't normaly go to pubs during the day, but one Sunday while working down Woking in London, I had finished the job on Sat after working there for two weeks and the hotel was paid for on the Sunday, so I just chilled.
But I had to have a walk around even though I knew the F1 was on soon, but I walked past a sports pub and seen the 4 screens with the F1 on, so I went in and to the left of me was a projector huge screen, so I sat and had a few pints and really enjoyed it.
I would luv to do it again.

Well, when I rule the world. Or rather when I own a pub (more likely!)I would ban football, not the discussion but just the watching. The only sports I would show would be rugby, motorsports (esp' BTCC and F1) and tennis, with special dispensation made for world cups and olympics.

May as well introduce myself as I will be a regular. My local cab firm is 'Nork Cabs'. My usual tipple will be Sunbeam.

The Salisbury in Cambridge used to show the f1; I always went down there on the appropriate Sundays with some friends to have some nice food and a bit of f1. Sadly, I think the landlord died, so I suspect that tradition has ended
