Car hire for a week cost £60 and to park my car offsite at Luton costs £70.

I know which business I'd rather be in.

I paid £89 for 2 weeks onsite at heathrow with a valet service not so long ago - i thought on the face of it that was pretty reasonable!

i paid about £50 for over 2 months at manchester i mean i actually only wanted 2 weeks but mr idiot here clicked the wrong start month

It's not just parking. Taxis and Mini cabs can be expensive to and from Airports. I spent several years working abroad, returning home at weekends. I very quickly worked out that it was cheaper to sell my car, and rather then getting taxis to and from Heathrow I hired a car on a Friday evening and returned it on a Monday morning.

Okay, so there were lots of Focuses and Passats, but every now and again I got a Mondeo ST TDCI or Alfa GT, still not fantastic cars but the cheapest four years motoring I even had. Just paid for fuel and saved a fortune.

I've used that service before, until I realised how they treat their customers cars, and where they leave them. Avoid at all costs now.

had to use a short stay earlier this month as I was late for flight - 2.5 days - 107 quid. money well spent rather than miss flight for business trip. so i guess you can see why the price that way especially to exploit the weary business guy.
