I've spoken to Adrian Flux who seem happy to take my 4 years NCD from the United Arab Emirates but i'm really struggling finding any other companies to take it...even though it's with Axa (one of the biggest insurers worldwide??).

Has anybody any experience with bringing NCD back to the UK from abroad?

I brought my NCB from Germany (again Axa) and went with Sky Insurance without any issues. As long as it was in English, they didn't seem to mind.

Friend of mine had similar recently, trying to insure a bike after riding one in Spain for 7 years.

He got the Spanish broker to send him a letter written in English confirming that no accidents had taken place in that period, whilst insured with a number of companies, through the same broker. The insurance company in the UK were happy with that.

Wow i'm really struggling.

It seems that policies within the EU aren't a problem but my UAE policy is causing big problems.

I've spoken to a broker and the general though now is that i'm going to get ripped off for the first year but after that i'll have 5 years NCD from the UK.

£1400 insurance for a £4000 325ci. jesus

I got my NCD from Trinidad accepted here with no problem. The insurance company in T'dad gave me a letter stating the number of years and it was accepted.

May I ask who you used? If trinidad wasn't a problem UAE shouldn't be either.
