VW, Audi & Seat - diesel injector problems
Discussion
MODS - please don't move this thread.
I'm aware many PHers likely own VW group diesels with the 170ps engine. And as such you may well be aware that the injectors/looms are an expensive and notorious weak spot on them. We had one go last year on our 2008 Leon FR which fortunately was replaced under warranty as their nearly £800 each fitted.
I came across this thread in the VW, Audi sub forum whereby VW group have confirmed there is a problem and are now replacing not only faulty injectors but all the others as well. Certainly worth a read and a note out to a wider audience - http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a... TDi Injector Problems

Well - it's booked in for the 26th Sept so hopefully they'll have the injectors for then.
At least it's a good result as rpeviously they'd only replace the broken injector under warranty and once out of warranty (as ours now is) it'd be up to is to stump the the £800 per injector for replacement. Fingers crossed they'll have the parts then and all will be well.
