help translating m.o.t. paper please
Discussion
i took my sportrak in for its m.o.t. today.
and it failed on, i'm quoting the m.o.t. fail sheet here ( nearside front lower (drop link bar) anti-roll bar linkage has excessive play in a pin/bush)
the place i took it to doesn't do repairs, and i would like to buy the parts myself to save money, but i don't know what i need to ask for, could someone translate the m.o.t. paper into idiot proof english please?

Unless you wanna do it again for next year's MOT, I understand you should buy it from somewhere other than these guys.http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/c/Daihatsu_Sportra...
Yep, bought loads of stuff off ECP, a lot of their stuff is OEM or recognised brands.
I bought a Saab/Vaux drop Link for £6 plus P and P on Ebay, we shall see how long it lasts, its a piece of metal with a ball joint and a bolt each end, it seemed pretty much identical to the one I took off, certainly didnt look substandard.

is this the part? as i've just looked under the car, and noticed this on the end of the anti-roll bar is loose

That's the boy. Looks like someone may have attempted a quick fix before. I'm not familiar with how the part should look but that bolt looks suspiciously long and non-genuine.

Before you buy anything, get a couple of spanners on there and see if you can take out the slack. Might be a very easy fix!
