Working on a scooter (vespa)

Me and a few friends have vespas and are quite often taking them to a mechanic to have work done. This isn't cheap (£35 per hour) and I'd really like to have a tinker myself. I used to ride motocross bikes and was always working on those so I'm sure working on a two stroke would be simpler.
My question really is two part;
1) does anyone know of good books or manuals? I already have a Haynes.
2) would a part time mechanic course be any good?

And I'd think if your used to working on engines you won't need a night class.

I got a few manuels from eBay, I've had a Li150, TV175 series 3, GP200 and my first was a Vespa 50 special

When is it? My E30 isn't coming out until spring. I might come down in the 968 though if I can make it.

I'll take a look. I've been really busy recently so neglected anything to do with cars!!
I think I'm actually off that day but it could change! If your boy wants a blast in my CS or even my M3 (I'm on holiday for the next week so could get it ready), he's more than welcome mate!

Either or both! It's not issue really! Didn't make the last tunnel run as I was called away to work but made all the others!!
