Just seen this info from today. Pretty impressive figures! Info from the GTboard.com

"New World Records for Koenigsegg

Today the 2nd of September 2011 at 12.08 pm a standard Koenigsegg Agera R took several new production car world records at the Koenigsegg proving ground in Ängelholm, Sweden.

All data was measured and collected by a third party with the officially accepted Racelogic VBox performance recorder.
...
The Records truly show the Agera Rs phenomenal stability, acceleration and braking performance - and that presently its performance is in a leauge of its own. All results will be submitted to the Guinness Book of Records.

The numbers are as follows:

0-300 km/h = 14.53 sec

0-200 mp/h = 17.68 sec

300-0 km/h = 6.66 sec

200-0 mp/h = 7.28 sec

0-300-0 km/h = 21.19 sec

0-200-0 mp/h = 24.96 sec

Meteorological data:

Wind was calm and came in straight from the side, not affecting the results. Weather was partially cloudy and fair. The test track is completely flat with no gradient.

Testtrack heading: 040 degrees

Wind direction: 290 degrees

Wind speed: 9 kts

Temp: 15.4 C

Pressure: 1015 HPA

We are proud to announce that this record breaking car is heading to our partners in Singapore. It will be showcased at the Singapore Grand Prix FIA Formula One World Championship. This is the first Koenigsegg Agera R in Singapore. Don´t miss the opportunity to check this world champion out"

Interesting stuff, but which records does it break, and by how much?

For example, Bugatti quote the original Veyron as doing 0-300kph in 14.6 seconds, making the Agera very slightly faster. But I would bet rather slower than a Veyron Super Sport!

Would you like to correct them then?

Sorry, i wasn't being intentionally obtuse. I don't know what the right figures are, but most of the above don't stack up.

Lower cd and weight will go a long way. I'd be more impressed if Bugatti could reach it's own 16,some compared to third party 18,some. SS at 14,6 is impressive but I'd still like to see it. Ehra or no Ehra. rolleyes

0-300 in 14,53 from a dig with a RWD, in a to-be-delivered customer car, with third party control, on Koenigsegg's scruffy runway as opposed to Ehra, in less than perfect conditions... is nothing short of a-m-a-z-i-n-g imo...

I get you now, I thought you were just coming in and yelling bks before running off!

Which ones in particular? I did think they looked a bit off but then noticed that they mix up Km/h and Mph, is that why?

Haha whoops. That which threw you for a second threw me for an hour. I didn't spot the kph mph split.

I was wondering how it went from 200 to 300kph in half a second. And lots of other strange things.

Friday night wine 1 : 0 ghost.
