pothole

just hit a pothole and damaged a tyre and possibly the wheel but cant check the wheel properly yet until tomorrow when there is a biy of light.

Tyre has a massive bulge and looks bad.

This also happened about 13 years ago when i had my sierra cosworth and i claimed the damage back from my local council, is it still possible to get my money back from them?

Im going to contact them but would be nice to hear from anyone else that has had this before. What is the best way to go about it?

When I was in the tyre trade lots of people successfully claimed for tyres and wheels providing you have plenty of photos of the offending pothole, preferably with a tape measuring showing it's dimensions (width length and most importantly depth.)
