New Jaguar C-X16 On Video

Yes, it looks even better moving...

To really appreciate a car, you need to see it in motion. So here's an idea of what the new C-X16 will look like out on the road, courtesy of JLR's 'poetry in motion' department.

Looks nice.

The video is a bit too abstract to get an idea what it actually looks like though.

That is a lovely looking machine. The straight on front view picture looks quite Nissan GTR-like IMO, think it's the shape of the lights.

As with many concepts or pre-production models, the Wheels really make this design. And if it rolls out of showrooms with that wheel and tyre size/combo on it, you can paint my toenails and call me Doris.

It does look good though.

Nice to see a Jag that doesn't look too much like an Aston.

Great looking car, Jaguars recent models are really making them stand out IMO, I think they are doing well to clear their old man image.

Thumbs up to Jag for having the balls to design some interesting cars compared to a lot of the German rivals.

Edit; found a whole bunch of high-res photo's here for anyone that's interested

Yes, I thought of GTR and the rear view from overhead shot it had a bit of Aston DB7 in it from the roof line. Looks very nice, is it going to be the model above the XKR?

They HAVE to build this. Please. Come on Jaguar, don't change a single thing...just put it into production.

No, it will sit below the XK. Smaller car, V6 engines, £50K starting price so possible alternative to M3/911 (I know it only has 2 seats but a lot of M3/911's aren't bought for their practicality).

It reminds me of...details from other cars. I can't quite put my finger on it. Those rear lights remind me of ones on the Integra DC5 for example.

It's almost a little dated already. It's certainly not 'cutting edge' or an example of 'fresh thinking'. Whether that's a bad thing, well I suppose it is considering it's a concept. If this was found in the corner of a Jaguar museum with 'Sept 2002' written on it, it would make more sense to me.

And before any of you say I need to go to Specsavers (or Vision Express, or any of the independent opticians dotted around my local area!), there's nothing wrong with my eye sight.

Just an opinion anyway.

I disagree. I think this is the E-Type's great great great granddaughter. It's like looking at pictures of your ancestors. Not much resemblance, yet there’s something there. I think that this is one of the most gorgeous looking cars to come along for some time. I don't know any facts about it, but it makes me want one. Imagine this as a roadster. oooooooooooooooo....

I agree 100%. it is nice, but nothing new and fresh. even too fussy for a jaguar. a true sportscar doesn't need all this gimmicks to look purposeful.
the XK is a good looking car, but never stood the test of time as looked dated right from the beginning...like this one

It looks ok but a bit generic - Nissan front with a rear end that reminds me of a Chrysler Crossfire unfortunately.

Nice looking Jag, £50k for an XKR junior is pushing it though...

the back end is beautiful - the front is too Nissan like for me (just change the lights and that will fix it!)

One thing I am impressed with is the technology behind the exterior, and the proposed price of £50k (although I'm guessing that will balloon to nearly £70k after a few choice options are fitted). 41mpg isn't too shabby either.
