I have to get some breakdown cover as it's scarey being out there in an E38 with no way of getting home if my gearbox/coolant system/engine fails. I just ditched my Lloyds debit card which cost me something like £160 a year where the only benefit I used was the breakdown cover.

So am looking for a good deal, also would like the wife's Galaxy covered. Am thinking AA but not sure if there are some good deals elsewhere to be had. Price and service equally important.

Thanks

Spoken to your insurer?, some insurers offer breakdown as an "additional" cover.

Been with RAC nigh on 10 years.

Quickest they've turned up is 15 minutes, longest I'd had to wait is 45 minutes. Can't fault em for the actual breakdown services.

Need to be firm with them come renewal time as they dont give the best deals unless pressed.
