Hi

Just to give some history to my question,
I have 3 points from Sep 2008 SP30 and 6 points handed down from a magistrate Jan 2011. This leaves me with 9 points.

Today I was caught by a man in a van doing approx 55mph in a clearly marked 40mph. (lets assume he got me)
I know this puts me on a 6 month ban for totting up 12 points.

Well the question relates to my insurance. Funnily enough my renewal came through today for £2800. I want to sell my car but have my other half drive it till I do
Registered Owner - Audi finance, Registered keeper - Me
Is it possible for OH to be insured without being RK/RO? I want to come off due to my high risk

Sorry for the convuluted question!

Depending on your insurer you may be able to still insurer it in your name but as a non driver and your wife as the main user.

Audi may not let you change RK anyway.

I own and am RK for both our cars but hummed and harred about putting one in my wife's name - only reason was it would give her DOC cover which you just never know might come in handy.

Insurer (LV=) said for a husband and wife it made no difference to them who was registered keeper and who was main driver.
