I am after a private sale price for a 2001 "Y" VW PASSAT SPORT ESTATE 1.8T with 137000 miles. Looking at one on fleabay and the seller seems to think his car is worth about 20k.

Can anyone with access to the trade guides assist me please?

I would use local ad's as your guide. Check out the competition!

any price guide (i.e. glass's, CAP etc) will be trade in(average condition). mark up is going to be dependant on the person selling and condition.

Cheers based on this what would the PH readers think is a fair offer in a private sale. car has good service history but a dent on one wheelarch.
