Just a straight forward question. If a Diesel engine makes 2,200 NM, what does that convert to in good old English?

Tried the online convertor tables, but can't make head nor tail of the answer, maybe I'm putting the figures in wrong.

TIA

1622.6

If you type it into google it just does it, no conversion table required;

That's easier than the conversion tables I was getting, approx 1,620 lbs Ft torque.

Thanks.

A bloody torquey engine! Sorry. Anyway, to convert from NM to lb ft you multiply by 0.74, so 2200 NM = 1623 lb ft (4 sig. fig.)

Disclaimer: Unless I'm wrong.

Edit: Beaten to it by miles! haha

It's the engine in my Renault truck, being a petrol/diesel head it occured to me today, while I was working,I knew nothing of what I was driving. I just had to know what made easy work of pulling so much weight.
