I've been mulling this one over for a while now as I have seen that there were numberplates for sale with my initials on with the prefixes V6, V8, V10 and V12. I though it would be cool to have 4 cars in the garage with the corresponding plates.

So the scenario is this- you have unlimited access to money (say a lottery win) and you have to the choose cars for your garage. You are only allowed four cars and they must have V6, V8, V10 and V12 engines.

Which cars will fulfil ALL your driving desires within the 4 car parameters? Please list cars and explain your choices....

For what it is worth here are my choices-

V6- Ferrari Dino 246- for classic summer day cruising.

V8- Supercharged Range Rover- for everyday brilliance, any off roading that may need to be done and to deal with the snow.

V10- Lamborghini Gallardo LP-550-2 Balboni- for trackday madness and super hooning.

V12- Aston Martin Virage- a classic Grand Tourer. Just pips the 599 due to the extra room from the 2 + 2 layout.

So what would you go for?

Wasn't there ever a car with a V2 engine?? seem to remember something about an old Saab, but can't find anything reliable through Google - V4's must have been done though!

EDIT: V4 was the Saab one, so addded that biggrin

So, my garage -

V4 - SAAB 96.

V6 - AUDI A6 avant 3.0 TDI. This would be the workhorse of the stable.

V8 - F40. The ultimate car!

V10 - Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder. Just for cruising and enjoying the good weather.

V12 - LM002. Simply becuase the idea of a Countach engined 4X4 is so bonkers.

Why????
Because you can't put a prefix V on anything older.

Nope me too. Especially the 'T' version with it's predicted top speed of 270mph. Can't see what's wrong with them. It's designed that way for a purpose.

V6 - NSX-R, for track fun
V8 - RS6 Plus Avant, for load lugging
V10 - Either a VW Phaeton for wafting about in comfort, or a Dodge ram SRT-10 for pulling things and being macho. Or maybe just an LF-A for the best engine noise in any car.
V12 - Diablo GT, for posing, being impractical and making a lot of noise
