Who has ordered from mytyres.co.uk recently and what was your verdict? After seeing lots of positive stuff about them i'm trying my best to order 4 tyres from them without much luck frown

I've never had problems with them in the past. Not used them for a while as camskill have been cheaper for me.

What's the issue?

First time I ordered off them, I payed by Credit Card. Cue lots of faffing about, and one cancelled order.

Second time I saw they now took payment by Paypal, ordered and received tyres no fuss 5 days later.

Used them twice using AMEX card. No issues at all. Fast delivery to the tyre fitters over the road from my work. E-mails with transit updates etc.

As long as you don't need to contact them, they're just fine. Took a long time before I got them to answer the phone, and when they did I had to deal with the most uninterested customer service rep. Hard work.

I've used them twice within the last 3 weeks or so. No problems at all, paid by Paypal I think. Tyres delivered within 3-4 days both times.

Similar prob to me.

Emailed them asking if they had the tyres in stock on Thur and come Fri morning they said they did so made the order that morning and paid by debit card. (Funds were of course in the bank).
After checking my order on there online system i see that it kept saying 'payment not received' for days so called them. Said a prob with contacting the bank for authorisation so emailed again. Now the same person who said they were in stock says there not in stock so i call again and told they are in stock but will prob need to cancel order and re-order again!

A week has now passed so i call again and place the new order/cancel old and am assured that the payment will go through this time and tyres are in stock.
That afternoon i get an email saying i need to pay by bank transfer!? I see 4 failed attempts from debit card so pay by bank transfer and would you believe it, 5 mins after posting this original message here, it finally says 'payment received' smile

Hopefully they'll be here this week but jeez, that was the hardest £700 i've ever spent!

I had good experience with them up to a couple of years ago when they took the money on tyres that were not available any more.

have a look at tyremen.co.uk

They wanted me to fax them bank statements, utility bills and goodness knows what else. I told them that for one I didn't have a fax machine as I didn't live in the 1980s, and even if I did I wouldn't be sending them copies of enough stuff that they could clone my identity.

I used them a couple of times with no issues. Now using camskill.co.uk as quite a bit cheaper per tyre in the sizes I need.
