My work colleague has just commited to leasing an MB E220 Sport coupe and is having a nightmare with insurance quotes.

The car's being delivered on Friday and he hadn't shopped around for insurance yet, (DUH!), and he's getting some eye watering quotes of over and above £1500.

He's 36, has three points and unfortunately, due to his wife having used it, hasn't got any NCB he can transfer.

Any recommendations on where he should shop other than the Meerkats or that fat moustchioed bd?

I'm thinking brokers or specialists BTW.

I know some insurers are happy to "mirror" NCB, I couldn't say which ones having never done it myself but as it's not an option on the comparison sites you'd probably have to ring directly.

I use Bell for my Mercedes. No-one has ever come close to their price, despite shopping around at renewal time.
