Came round a junction earlier today onto a main road through a housing estate and there in the middle of the road quite near the junction was a driving school car with a learner doing a 3 point turn, now i know they have to practice somewhere and i was once a learner etc etc .........but surely there are far quieter and more suitable places to do that sort of thing, i imagine the pupil was under some stress as there were some cars waiting from either side by the time they were done, then when they drove off on the back bumper was a gret big red PH smiley sticker

How busy was the road? Just when I last checked people need to learn on roads that are like the ones they'll encounter in the real world.

In my opinion to busy for a learner doing that sort of thing

I once had to run to avoid being knocked over by a corsa with livery of a local driving school in a supermarket car park ... worrying, and what was more worrying was that it happened again 15 minutes later when I walked out of the supermarket!

I knocked on the window of the car to ask whether a lesson was in progress, and noticed that there were four small children on the back seat, none of them wearing seatbelts! yikes

I formally complained to the DSA, who managed to do nothing at all about it.

I see some crap driving by driving instructors when they are the only ones in the car, they are almost as bad as taxi drivers imo. wink
