Range Rover Sport.... oversupply?
Discussion
My local garage has unusually a couple of RRS for sale on their forecourt, and on looking at the classifieds, there so many RR Sport's for sale I've got to ask if they're about to see a huge drop in second hand value, what with owners wanting to jump into a blingy new Evoque.
RRS future bargains do you think?

I hope so, I've been looking at them, lots of car for the money. I was looking at the TDV6, but as I'min the country for less than 6 months of the year, I'm wondering if the petrol V8 might be cheaper to buy and due to my low mileage might actually end up cheaper in the long run. RRS future bargains do you think?

A RRS would never be a bargain — even if they were given away.
There are so many for sale because they are so ridiculously expensive to run and look s
te.

Someone enlighten me what looks s
te about that? May not be everyone's car of choice or maybe too big, but it's far from s
te.They are an out of date, inefficient lump that represents everything thats wrong in a vehicle. Plus many are driven by shaven headed cocks in muscle T Shirts.
All range rovers take a bath at some point, having a range rover v8 that had lost 50k in 9 years and I won't be surprised if the rrs gets down to 15k for a tdv8 in a couple of years.
Will be a fantastic deal by that point, however if worrying about £250 a tyre or £450 for tax is an issue then it's not the car for you.
Our new full fat rr is £86k new, running costs are the least of our worries !!'.

Trouble is, familiarity breeds contempt as does the ownership profile, too many blingy, orange mummies hoofing them around Cheshire with a phone glued to their ear, definite arrogance that comes with them, too many black ones, white ones look really naff, see the odd red, silver or blue one and it takes the edge off the image a bit. They arent quite up there with the X6 but not far off.

Exclusivity used to be the RRs forte but now it's more likely to be a chavs chariot !
Exclusivity was never the RRS forte, the many many posts on this forum pointed out how common they are (in black with tints and now white...with tint), which kind of negates the point of them being exclusive. As for being more likely to be a chav chariot, once again it has been pointed out many many times on these boards that the RRS sport was driven by the "orange" people (monied chavs).
However if you can see past the stereotyping, it provides a lot of car for the money, as long as the purchaser appreciates the running costs.
