I've got a V6 petrol lump in a boat (Volvo Penta AQ175A - Based on a Chevy Lump I believe)
I need to run it for a while to get it properly warmed up. I want to reduce carbon build up as much as I can (That's the problem I need to sort!)
Any advice?
I was thinking about medium revs in neutral, then occasionally low revs in gear tied to the mooring.
As much as I'd like to, taking it for a good blast up the river isn't an option.

Thanks,
Dan

I should imagine anything over idle is going to warm it up very quickly, if you just give it 1500-2000rpm without any load for five or perhaps ten minutes I would expect it to be nice and warm.
