Hi,

Off to another track day on Sat and need some gloves, a good lid, and boots that will hopefully help in the tiny footwell of the Caterham.

I'm about to set off to Silverstone, but it's a bit of a trek. Anky suggestions of anything closer by?

Thanks

Not sure about the Boots, but Ron Parkinson has a Motorbike shop on the Cowdray centre, its where my Lid came from.

Thanks everyone,

Know Ron Parkinsons quite well, I've already got a Arai bike lid from them, but its getting on a bit now (nearly 10 years old!) and obviously not a car spec lid.

Off to Stand 21 I think. Will chuck my camera in the car in case there is anything interesting going on at Brands this morning.

Thanks again

Just spoke to Stand 21

They only make made to measure for everything including lids. Cheapest lid is £1,500, but is full carbon to be fair. Just a little OTT for a simple track day I feel.

Looks like I'm heading off to Silverstone then.

Would Heine Gericke at Braintree do anything relevant? They may be a bit too bike orientated.

Merlin Motorsport at Combe, but GPR are probably about the same distance. There's also MSAR Safety, but you would have to arrange something if you want to try anything on.

Just to say MSAR is open 9-6 5 days a week and weekends by appointment .. we keep a wide range of Bell and Arai as well as others.
