Not sure i can forgive them for what they did to that SD1, it's like wiping your arse with the dead sea scrolls
And i thought Gold Blend was expensive, what's the point of getting to run a car off that

He bought the car for £250 so I'm guessing it wasn't a concourse example.littlebasher said:

It says Used Coffee Grounds, so the waste out of a coffee machine = free.In a world where 99% of the population think it beneath them to travel on public trnasport or in a car more than 5 years old, or one without aircon, pas and ncap 35, an old boy and his 16 yr old son have built a 37 year old car that runs on old coffee.
It's f
king awesome! That's all.

I've found a (rather uninformative) website here.
I think it's a pretty cool experiment - I've seen plenty pictures of cars running gasifiers during WWII, but not heard of anyone doing it subsequently. I had always wondered how far they could travel on one 'tank' - London to Manchester is pretty impressive!
One thing's for sure, though - I wouldn't be happy about having the gasifier inside the car without a well-sealed bulkhead between me and it.
fwiw, the car's a 6 cylinder model; those weren't particularly well regarded. I remember having a go in a 2600 at the time and thinking it was crap.
