Hi all

First post here, so please be gentle!

It's time for me to choose my company car, and these are the 3 choices I have:

Honda Civic (ES 1.8 i-Vtec auto)
Ford Focus (2.0 TDCI Zetec powershift auto)
Vauxhall Astra Hatchback (1.6i 16v Elite auto)

They'll all be brand new and 5 door, so my question really is, which one do you think is the best option??

Usage wise - just general day to day use, no more than 12,000 miles per year, occasional long trips (3hrs+) probably every 3 months - one thing though, need something quite roomy as my partner is pregnant with twins, so boot space in particular is important because of the size of the buggy!

Any thoughts on the above cars would be greatly appreciated. I'll be stuck with it for 3 years so want to make sure I get the best one, they're all similar in monthly price also.

Thanks!

Twins! Get a bigger car!

Seriously have you seen the size of the double buggies?

Have a look at them all and go with the one with the biggest boot!

You WILL take more stuff than you will ever imagine.

Yeah, you need a Q7.

I have no idea how my old man coped with 4 of us an an Austin Allegro.

Seriously, a Focus will be plenty big enough and be the best car from that bunch.

Thanks for all the replies, I only have a certain budget so I don't really have a choice of anything bigger which is why I chose those 3 cars, I think they're the best 3 of what I was offered

I was kind of hoping everyone would say the Civic, I love that car! But I guess you're right, my head also tells me the Focus would be more practical!

Focus.

The Civic looks nice, but suspension is a bit firm for a family car.

Vauxhall can do one.

No manual option?

Focus, I'd imagine a small capacity petrol would be horrid with an auto box.
