For the third time today I've had some cretin in one of the modern Skodas tailgating me. All of them have been middle aged men and every one of them has been literally bent forward over the steering wheel in a blind rage that I am holding them up. I know people knock BMW drivers (with little reason in my opinion) but these Skoda chimps are way ahead in terms of tttishness.

What it is with these lot? I've started noticing it more and more recently, especially those in the electric snot green or tango orange 'sporty' models.

If you listen carefully you can hear them saying to themselves "it is a VW OR AN AUDI. DID YOU HEAR ME? Its a VW OR AN AUDI but cheaper and FASTER..."

Has anyone else witnessed a 'I'm really a VW driver' act like this?

ETA the word Audi... smile

Audi drivers round my way seem to be from a parallel universe to you lot - courteous, plenty gaps. Sometimes I think you're just making it all up.

Same under the bonnet of my Seat. So many parts were Audi, as I found out when it needed bits and bobs doing!

This is the worst "I'm a badge snob, and I hate getting owned by Skodas" thread ever.

I've noticed it too, from every single Skoda driver, they are ALL exactly the same, every one of them, bar none, its not stereotyping, every single Skoda driver in the country is a middle aged man who drives agressiviely and tailgates, I've checked them all and not one doesn't fit into this profile.

....then again, it couold just be another silly pointless generalisation?

I had an old person pull out in front of me today in a megane - SHOOT ALL OLD PEOPLE AND ALL MEGANE DRIVERS!

Sorry, I'm just being silly.

I have never seen vrs not being driven 5 inches from my arse, and overtaking on blind bends.

It is like they have to prove something to others, like a man with no hair getting a toupee.

Never? Really? Never?

I think you're lying, and I think you should be ashamed of yourself, I'm really disappointed with you.

...Or possibly me, though I haven't been oop North for a bit.

I'll be passing through Skipton the weekend after next, though, so if you see an electric snot green Skoda in your mirrors, as BG says:

shoutGet the fk out of the way and stop clogging up the road network, you slow-witted ignorant little 'tard..

Or possibly me! Do the DRLs (no they're not foglights) annoy you too? ;-)

Which reminds me I need to change my username since the Mondeo has gone.

Yeah I'm exactly the same. I tailgate somebody for ages until I find that blind bend I've been waiting to overtake on. rolleyes

o.k last 2 vrs that I saw, One over took me in a 30 next to school doing around 50 - 60 leaving a vapour trail of black soot.

The other vrs was on the dual carriage way, 5 foot from my arse i pulled over and they then sped past undertook a car in lane 2 left another vapor trail.

the fabia Vrs is the new vauxhall nova.

Are you sure you mean the new Fabia, which is the only one that comes in "snot green"?

If so, it couldn't leave a trail of black soot as it is petrol only. Plus I hardly see any on the road and they certainly aren't driven by "nova types".
