Do manufacturers still do these ? remember the Escort "Bonus", Fiesta "Freedom" and all that twaddle, basically a bog spec hatch with some wheel trims and risible graphics, like the Pug 306 "Spinnaker" which had a vaguely Nautical theme, anyone remember any more and can you think of any approapriate ones or say branding tie ins, like the spectacularly confusing Fiat 500 "Diesel" that has a Petrol engine biggrin

How about the,

Saab 9-3 "Norwegian Blue"

Ferrari 458 "Resti Carbonizzati"

Many many Fords, but I like the JPS Capri if anyone can remember John Players Special as a brand, are they still going?

The official manufacturer ones often aren't too bad.

It was the local dealer "designed" ones which were shocking - pop up glass sunroofs, white wheeltrims, rubber spoiler, mudflaps and any other tat which could be nailed on in the workshop. My mate's Mum had an Escort XRT - a 1300 four speed Mark3, with an XR3 spoiler and spotlamps.
hehe

Lots of Peugeots;

Roland Garros,
Goodwwod,
Le Mans,

These were when Special Editions were good though, leather/alcantara seats, different wheels etc. Not just a badge on the boot and a extra cup-holder.

I'm of the latest generation of drivers. I've just wracked my brains to think of a current 'special edition'- best I could do was 'bluemotion'!
Sad times.

My old man bought me a Vauxhall Nova Antibes (after the first brown one he bought me failed its mot 4 months after he got it) and what made it really special over a standard nova 1.2l was the rev counter, sunroof, spoiler, oh an not forgettin, the red carpet.

Being 17 i tried to make it look better by lowering it and adding alloys. The springs burst through the mounts and the TSW Venoms were the wrong fitment so i had to modify the arches with a tyre lever and scaffold bar. The shame.

How about a nice "RENAULT CLIO I-MUSIC"?

Apparently some of Rihanna's va-va-voom will rub off on you....

BMW used to do them every week or so it seems. E30's E34 M5's etc. Now they just seem to do specific colours and trim modification. Surely Porsche must lead the way with 997's etc.

I said at the time, and I'll say it again: Someone is going to put the wrong fuel into one of those some day and look like a prize plonker. Or plonkeress.
