Happened to glance in the cab of one of those JCB swivel-steer telenhandler things they use for recovery at Brands Hatch and couldn't help but be mystified by some weird optical viewfinder, almost like those opticians glasses on a thing in the cab. Any ideas?
They always used to have them on the back of coaches and buses. They refract the light somehow so you can see down, but I've never actually looked for the right position to see.
Hmm no it had a normal mirror at the back of the vehicle to see where the rear was - this was actually like an optical sight that you could look into sat from the drivers seat, to the right of the wheel...
That's what I thought?! Next time I'm going to ask him. God, friday night and I'm geeking out about JCBs. Can't find anything similar on any cab pictures anywhere.
