Each manufacturer has produced a car which has shamed them.

My vote goes to Ferrari with the Mondial, i dont know anyone who thinks the Mondial is a looker, people only buy it because it is the cheapest way into a Ferrari.

I think the Laguna shamed Renault.

IMO Renault make some really nice hot hatches, know how to make a car handle, they led the way with the family MPV, do the 'cheap transport' thing well and their quality seems to be on the up. Basically, there is often a 'reason' to buy a Renault.

But the Laguna has just always been just ste and there is/was absolutely no reason at all to buy one over a Mondeo / Passat.

That is a good nomination, the only nice Laguna was the one Plato raced on a sunday afternoon now and again.
It does make you think that Renault made a car as great as the Clio Williams and yet made a poor car like the Laguna.

Now that is a pig. IMO any Mondial is a dog, just has no style and you think the Mondial is a better looking car than a 599 or California, really??

I'm sure no other company would ever be stupid enough to attempt a mid-engined 2+2 sportscar.

Purely based on aesthetic values, I'd have a Mondial over a California, too. The latter looks like it was made by Peugeot hurl

Whoever thought foisting folding metal roofs upon cars that should be a bit sporting is a good idea, needs a stern talking to anyway.

I would rather that than a Mondial but truth be told, would not buy either.

Go and drive one back to back with a 3x8 of the same period . . . . then you will understand why the Mondial was a very good seller for Ferrari, without that knowledge of the cars, you’ll just sound like a rather thick Clarkson clone wink
