I still find myself with a wandering eye and a nagging doubt about my FL2, and right now it's wandering towards every single FFRR that I see.

Presumably cheap ones are cheap for a reason, the running costs tie in with a £70k car, and fuel economy isn't good even in a TDV6?

(search is screwed)

This will probably end up in an argument, between those who say that a FFRR will break down every day & those who never have a problem. Generally the one thing they agree on is they love the cars!

Have you thought about a petrol with LPG?

Service costs £100 more for the FF.

Parts are a lot more expensive for a FF.

FF feels a lot bigger than a FL2.

Unless you go for a TDV8 4.4 the handling of the FL2 is much better (less roll).

Fuel economy on a FL2 is much better than FF, although the TDV8 4.4 does get over 30mpg.

Offroading the only thing that limits the FL2 is its ground clearance, no issues for FF.

Simple solution: Get both....

If it is space you require have you thought of a Disco 3/4?

Much more practical for load lugging, cavernous, does not come with FF running costs.

Im a ex LR dealer tech and there is no such thing as a cheap ffrr, Trust me. The FL2 is a cracking all rounder it just doesnt offer the image that pepole hanker with a ffrr.

Agree with the FL2 being a 'cracking' car.
I don't think the FF is about image, it is about luxury.
I will say that the cheapest FF is one that is still in warranty

I think you've hit the nail on the head tbh. I won't pretend for one moment that I need the space or anything on a practical/functional level that a FFRR offers, they just look cool.

In which case I would definitely stick with the FL2. (But FFRR's are cooler)

YES

You will end up buying RR's for the rest of your life. (But that example looks nice).
