...you know, on the wings of African despots Mercs 
Well...i could so with a winter hack to keep the Chim out of the weather. So i have decided on a W126 Merc, early one, little bit sheddy probably...maybe a grands worth.
Just for giggles i'm thinking of creating a homage to dictators past, Idi would be proud! (ok a 126 is past Amins era but he'd have had one if he'd have been in charge still!!)
Thoughts are, black out the rear windows....maybe a stupidly braid encrusted military cap on the rear parcel shelf...and a pair of the aforementioned flag poles on the wings...i like the look of the Birkina Faso flag, so we'll go with that!
Also it will be great transport for the groom, best man and ushers at my best mates wedding!!!
So....where can one get the flag poles, little flags and how much can you tint rear side glass?

google diplomat flags / flag poles. not cheap.
quite a few old mercs i see [UAE] have them on the bumber mount with the 3 pointed star atop the pole. maybe ebay?
if i were on a budget, i'd be getting a small but of bar, threading each end and drilling a hole in the bumper/wing top. one end of the bar through the hole into the nut, and the other into a cap nut or spherical cap to finish it off.

I wiki'd the Burkina Faso flag to see what it looked like. Turns out to be an interesting choice- it was adopted under the rule of President Sankara, an ascetic revolutionary who also sold off all the ministerial Mercedes (including his own) and made ministers use Renault 5s instead...
