Why bother to insure when you probably dont even own the car or have a fixed address?

Good point...the ones round my way drive expensive and i mean expensive motors...Top end Audis, Mercs, BMs etc etc...most look about 16 year old..no seat belts, driving like nutters..Never seem to get pulled over or stopped.

As if the bobbies turn a blind eye.

However with ANPR now the bobbies no straight away when they pass you if your insured or not..so most must be? No fixed address, half of them dont have birth certificates, proof of ID or anything.

How?????

Cloned plates.

Just saw a DAYLey returning to that DAYL farm, plate had conveniently fallen off the back of the towed caravan (also probably nicked)

So if something were to happen to their cars, say stolen(or as a Pi... Traveler would put it liberated (if it is something decent)) or driven over by a tank then they wouldn't be able to do sod all if they didn't know who had done it?

Wouldn't it be a shame if someone liberated all their cars and left them in a police car park.

You would have to get past the gypsy burgular alarms to (re)steal the cars though.

some buy new, so they would need to insure it to get it taxed before the dealer will let it got, won;t they?

I THINK they have a relative with a house and register them there.

Whatever, they are bound to be taxed, insured, MOT'd and the driver fully licensed. They are honourable people and what no trouble at all.

cops round my end never seem to bother with them.

I think there scared of them

Some of the lads driving range rovers don't even look old enough to have licences!

They would rather stop ''normal' motorists there allot less hassle to deal with when they have commited an offence
