Great idea, just sign and the government will consider lowering fuel duty, why didn't I think of that.

If they refuse we'll refuse to buy any more fuel, that'll learn 'em.

It has been taking them bloody ages to get this to a 100k, despite claiming some very heavyweight support.

I signed the damn thing months ago and still they email me asking me to.

The government already know that way in excess of 100 000 people want fuel prices to be slashed, so why will signing this help? Say it does receive 100 000 signatures and get placed in front of someone they are hardly going to turn around and say "Crikey!! I didn't realise people wanted us to lower fuel costs. WHY DID NOBODY SAY ANYTHING!!"

I thought the mods were going to ban e-petition threads and consider them on a request only basis?.
Or have I made that up? hehe

How about a petition suggesting to "make up for all the lost tax by raising income tax"? Great!

Aim higher, I say: FREE PETROL FOR ALL!!

I predict maybe £170 a litre by early next year, then we'll see some petitions.
