No, I'd like to go and have been meaning to but the £10 entrance fee puts me off somewhat (By the time the family come etc.) Not sure its entirely necessary when Goodwood seem to manage well without

I popped down to one of these back in April with a fellow PistonHeader. Was a good outing and very relaxed gathering although it wasn't anywhere near Goodwood levels of attendance I expect due to the cost.......

......and on the subject of the cost, it's due to the fact its actually all held in the museum section, so in order to access the breakfast club you are essentially entering the museum and so the fee to attend is because you are buying an access ticket. This in itself is fine as (if like me) you hadn't been for a while means you can amuse yourself by looking through all they have on display. If however you have seen all they have to offer and just go for the breakfast club side of things i can see how paying the entrance fee is a big turn off.

This is where Goodwood thrives, the fact you rock up for free means its far more appealing to the masses. If Brooklands could somehow segregate off an area that means you don't pay then I can see that it could become a lot busier in the future IMO.

They are daft making a charge for entry. Without it they'd have a huge crowd and could make their money selling coffee and bacon sandwiches instead.

That's certainly how Goodwood became popular. I'd wager they clear an average of £10 a car on their Sunday breakfasts without any entry charge.
