Question regarding VAT on vehicles.

Bought a commercial vehicle & paid VAT on the purchase price 2 year ago.
Used said vehicle as private car.
Now wanting to sell, do I have to advertise purchase price + VAT if so what happens to the VAT paid to me on the purchased price?
OR
Do I advertise with just a purchase price & take a hit on the original VAT paid??

You can't charge VAT unless you're VAT registered. Anybody that's buying it with VAT will want a proper VAT receipt and you need a proper VAT reg Number to give that...

Advertise it for the price you want, and add NO VAT to the advert.
