Just wanted to say "well done" to everyone who joined the protest yesterday. I was on the bridge over the A1 at Newark, waving on you bikers and giving a big thumbs up smile I'm not a biker myself but it infuriates me how the EU try to run and ruin our lives!! So, I just wanted to show that even non-bikers are supportive of you smile

The EU try to ruin everyones life just by thinking of schemes and regulations to keep themselves in very highly paid jobs.
Its time for more backlash and not just for motor related eu bks.

As a biker as well as driver and cyclist I don't see anything bad in the proposals.

What's the actual problem?

Not trying to be inflammatory I just can't see what's wrong.

At worst, it could mean you cannot choose what brand of tyre you use. You might not be able to do ANY home servicing (on a motorcycle, regular home servicing is essential). High-viz would be compulsory, and aftermarket parts would be banned.

Now, I don't actually like noisy aftermarket exhausts, but I would be pissed off if I crashed my bike and was forced to pay for a genuine BMW exhaust instead of a suitable after-market alternative.

I didn't think the EU were even thinking about it. It's just an idea some think tank thought up.

I saw these on the M1 South around Sheffield at circa 13:00.... We were heading north after going to MEadowhall.

Whatever they were protesting about I thought they were a bunch of tossers. The tailback they had caused was ridiculous.

Having just read the original thread about the protest. Funny how 1 lane at 45mph turned into all 3 at 20mph. Idiots (the ones who blocked the other 2 lanes, anyway)
