Fed up is not the words.... I believe the turbo has let go on my MR2 Turbo. It is making a high pitched whooshing noise and can't get above 1psi of boost.

Checking should have been a simple job, but no, not for me! One bloody nut on the downpipe is in the most ridiculous position, and is barely accessible. It is now so rounded, there's going to be a Hell of a struggle getting it off, and that's if I can find a viable way to do so!

So a week on the bus beckons. I'm slightly above "mildly frustrated"!

Multi point socket?

ETA.. I didn't mean for removing it, I meant was it a multi point that rounded it off.

Oh I am hurting all bloody over. It was rounded with an open ended spanner. The problem with this particular bolt is that it sits so close to the downpipe, you can't get a socket on it.

I know the exact nut your talking about. Come from the bottom up, if you can jack the car up/ axle stand it. You can get to it from underneath the car.

I know exactly the bolt you mean. Bit late now i know but you need a 14mm crescent spanner ideally to get it off.

Wherabouts are you?
