Erm, I don't mind it to be honest. Not saying I'd buy it though.

It looks better than a standard MX-gay5 in my opinion.

For some reason I don't find that as hateful as I should do.

Probably because it looks nothing like a AM, more like a British built sports car a Marcos or similar. Overhang at the back is not great though...

The kit may be a bit rubbish, but it's got a great name. smile

I wonder if a Cygnet front end would fit on a Ford Puma? biggrin

Why not, though? It's only a bit of fun and makes a change from the normal MX5 look.

Certainly nicer than sticking a load of 'race' stickers all over one!

M.

PS Is it deliberate that clicking on the "Build Diary" link takes you to a page that simply says... "UNDER CONSTRUCTION" biggrin

Or you could get a copy for the same price as a high mileage real one - http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/2481663.htm

I reckon that would fool a fair number of people at a distance... and sure you could BUY a real one for that, but could you afford to insure/tax/service/fuel it?

£4500 for the kit... plus a donor car, and all you have at the end is an MX5...

still, each to their own I guess...

Laugh it all up! If Aston had produced a small, light, efficient sportscar instead of re-badging a Toyota IQ I think the whole project would have had a lot more credibility. Luxury MX5? It makes more sense to me than a luxury IQ!
