Hey guys and girls,

Im just about to sell the 350z as it's recently become a second car and only gets used once or twice a week so seems silly having a £13,000 car just sat there getting used so rarely.

So with a max budget of £5,000 (ideally less) what fun weekend car would you get with the below criteria:

1. I'm not into older cars, so has to be say 1995 on

2. I'm 6'6 tall so unfortunately things like vx220's are out!

3. Has to be quick, fun, and good looking, realiable would be good too!

That's it! Can be 2 seater, can be convertible etc!

Current contenders are

E36 M3 convertible

S2000

Tiger, think that would be a pretty unpratical cat!

You do realise you`ll have the mx-5 answer in a nano second don`t you.

S2000 is out for you as well most likely.

I'm 6'2 and just managed to fit in. Fine with the roof down but you'd be eye level with the top of the ceiling!

Apart from that it was a smashing car. Loved it to bits.

Alfa GTV V6. Just depends whether you can fit - I'm only of average height so can't help you on that one.

My second time today of reccomending it.

A DC2 Integra Type-R, my friend has one and he is 6 ft 2, fits fine.

It is practical, sorry, but great fun and quite raw.

A know they're not the most PH of drives but a Z3 3.0 would be pretty good fun, and I'd imagine that £5k would get you a reasonable one. I sat in one once and at 6'4" there was loads of leg room.

Actually if you are 6'6" you may be looking at the top of the windscreen frame, have you sat in one yet?

I was a passenger in one once(s2000) from memory seemed ok! Might have to find one to take for a spin!

Power wise I'm ideally looking for something that will feel as quick as my 313 bhp 350, just can't imagine in intregra doing that!

Probably will be as ropey as a ropey thing, but how about a leggy 8-series?

You want an un-practical car but it has to be able to fit a 6'6" person in it?? Not many sporty little numbers will be designed to be uncompromising such that they aren't practical but will still fit someone as tall as you...

Just my opinion.

Un-practical comes in many forms grasshopper.

Just had a £3k service (and no doubt many more!).
Loving the steering wheel cover.

im 6'3, and 6'3 around (tongue out) but i found the Alfa GTV very accommodating, as you're basically sitting on the floor.

Its also hilarious fun to drive and can be had for little over a grand. Spend the change on a lifetime supply of cambelts and you're set.
