Someone bid more than me frown

I put £1000 on and didn't even get chance to win for a while.

What do we think it'll go for?
It seems like a thoroughly odd thing to sell on ebay, especially with such a pathetic description and photos. Do we actually think it's genuine? Surely it's got to be worth well into six figures?

My thoughts too.

No reserve, so technically I guess they would have to part with it even if it ends at two-thousand-and-something pounds. That sounds even dafter than selling a car like that on eBay...

its a replica built on a 512 chassis, why would it be worth into 6 figures ?? its basically a posh kit car, no ????

The lack of description I put down to Google Translate English from French, no reserve I thought was a lapse. Stock looking photo's are the sign of someone who's putting a advert up because they have to rather than want to. So it could easilly be genuine.

It depends on the quality of the conversion, the value of the donor car, etc. There are plenty of Ferrari replicas that go for six figure sums:

...but I'd be surprised if the P4 replica was one of them, although it's difficult to judge on the basis of those photos and that description.

Having said that,

Wikipedia said:
A high-quality P4 replica built with genuine Ferrari engine (e.g., a 400i V12) may command as much as $200,000, but simpler ones (often with Rover engines and Renault drive-trains) fetch around $50,000.

The steering wheel & handbrake put me right off for starters, never mind the lack of info and limited photos. If ever a car needed to be viewed in the flesh it's this imo. Interesting all the same.
