Hi All,

I am after an Insignia VXR Hatchback and would prefer a 61 plate (pre-registered).

The List Price is 34K but broadspeed can do them for 23K. Only problem is, I don't want to wait for delivery.

Is it possible to find any deals with a new one sitting on the forecourt? Can't find anything on NetworkQ or AutoTrader.

Thanks in advance.

Matt

Surely a saving to over £10000 is worth a bit of a wait?

Especially when it will be worth less than half that as soon as you drive it off the forecourt! hehe

Ring Vauxhall and ask where they are.

Surely these have already suffered 7 series rivalling depreciation, wouldn't it make financial sense to pick up a 10 plate or something?!

Use the vauxhall website for central stock I assume...

That's a ridiculous amount of discount, how can they justify the list price?

I'd be shocked if there was any margin for the manufacturer for the £23k retail priced car.

Well it gives the dealer some margin to be able to give the loyalty bonus and 0% finance doesn't it.

Actually, no. I havent got either smile

The reason I am asking about new - Vauxhall are currently doing 0% finance over 5 years. It might be better for me to take this out that using savings etc. Depends what sort of discount a dealer can give me.

However, I am leaning towards the Broadspeed offer - it's only 12-14 weeks apparently.

I think it's a reasonable mile muncher. I currently do 30k pa and I am fed up with my current Honda Accord 2.2 CDTI. Also, it's 335i performance for less?

Doing 30k a year in a V6 Turbo petrol is a very big departure from a 2.2 CDTI is it not? If you are still paying the fuel bills then your a brave man in these days of Super Leaded prices!

I doubt that you'll get both deals. 0% over 5 years is costing someone something.

I'm glad you took my comment in the spirit it was intended!

5 years is a long time to be tied in to a commuting motor. Might a shorter-term lease be a better option? More flexibility regarding change etc, plus you're not shouldering all the (no doubt epic) depreciation? Just a thought.
