I have a Skoda octvia vRS which I am in the process of looking Winter Tyres out for. I am looking for some cheap steel wheels to put tyres on and have found some steel wheels off a VW Transporter t5.

I cam struggling to find any details on it, or its wheel dimensions. I dont suppose anyone could shed any light on this could they?

Alternatively, any recommendations for finding cheap steelies aside from the usual ebay?

cheers smile

Depends if it's a Mk1 or Mk2 Octavia!

Mk1 was 5 x 100 as per Mk4 Golf, Mk1 Leon.

When I was looking a while back I found steelies more expensive than second hand battered alloys.
In fact, I got 4 alloys off ebay, then had them dipped and powdercoated and still paid less than half what two new steelies would have cost.

I actually have a set of steelies in my garage taken off an '04 Passat shod with top spec winter tyres; only used once to drive to Switzerland and back. Not sure if they are any good for an Octavia was going to put them on eBay later in the year when prices firm up but feel free to make me an offer - can check exact make if you are interested.
