Have you ever rolled a car ?
Discussion
I personally haven't but was a passenger in one that went over, not fun being in the back of an old capri, upside down with headlights bearing down off other cars, fuel glugging out and you daft mate trying to find the fag that fell out of his mouth, I managed to find it and stubbed it out with my palm onto the headlining, booted out the crescent shaped windows out and dragged myself and my mate out. The girl driving tried to hand me the keys to "hold", er no ta
she got done for being drunk in charge and having no licence, I got done of the wife for getting in strange womens cars....
My dad also had an upside down moment, he managed to flip a Jowett Javelin, must be a family trait.
You a member of the upside down club ?

Twice, as a passenger.
The first was a "watch this" moment when a mate yanked on the handbrake in his Saab 96 in a field. Crunch, upside down world. Mate in the rear got hit under the nose by a spare wheel that happened to be floating around in the back.
The second was in a rally prepared Mk2 Escort on a forest stage in Wales when the driver (who was better on tarmac than on the loose) allowed the heavily cambered road on a slight right hander to pull him into a ditch. Crunch, upside down world again, most disorientating.
Two is quite adequate as far as upside down experiences go thank you very much.

Once in my mates Mini (proper Mini not new one)
He swerved for an animal we hit the steep verge on the side of the road and over we went, I could feel the road hitting the roof (I am 6'1")
We stopped, got out, checked we were both ok, had a fag, looked at the car, saw it wasn't too bad so rolled it back over and went on our way

Mate driving. Hire car in Crete. Tried to emulate my hanbdbrake turns of the day before. Spun us to early for a downhill hairpin.

Thats why you get the £0 excess on hire cars, then if you roll it, flip it on the wheels see if it still drives, if it does use it until you need to take it back, when they ask what happened, "sorry I rolled it, still drives though." and be on your merry way.Yes, about 6 weeks after passing my test.
Convinced of my Godlike wheelmanship I had taken the back roads home with a few mates at around 3am. Turned out I wasn't Belfasts answer to Colin McCrae and my dads 1.1 Fiesta was totalled. Clipped the verge, fishtailed a few times and finished up on the roof in a field full of surprised cattle. Valuable life lesson learned that night.

Glad you survivedI chuckle as when I passed my test my dad said "I know you think you are McRae now, you aren't but I cannot convince you that you aren't so I ask you to heed these words and take is mildly slowly, you will only learn that you aren't the greatest when you have an off or a bump, the luck is in the severity"
Between 17-20years old I rolled 3!
Pug 205 diesel, first car.
Pug 309 Goodwood GTI, second car. Almost 15 years ago now and I'm still gutted about it.
Nova 1.3sr. Rolled on a duel carriageway over the central res. Didn't have my seatbelt on in any of them, I believe if I did I would not be here now, or if I was I would be in a wheelchair or worse.

Wise words from your Dad, presumably he ended up in a field in his youth
Very lucky though, the worst injury was me and my mate in the front picking the bits of sunroof out of our heads. Saw the car the next day, roof was squashing the headrests and it was unrecognisable as a Fiesta. None of us are quite sure but we reckon the car rolled 3/4 times and finished up 200m after the fishtailing began. Thankfully it was my first and only accident.
