I like mine for it's sedate appearance but it hits 60 in under 6s with it's lovely V6 Turbo charged VXR lump ...... leaving many a confused youngster behind me at the lights smile

I know, but I can't help it sometimes smile

Let's see your sleeper smile

Here's mine:-

I'd spot the exhaust and wheels and immediately think "VR6 or R32 lump under the bonnet", but most would see and old Golf and expect you to crawl away from the lights at a pathetic pace! What has this got again? I remember the thread in the riders cars section, something ridiculous like a supercharged 2.0L making 350bhp odd isn't it?

Spot on VR6 making 345hp and 380 pounds feet. to be honest sleepers arent to upset petrol heads, more your average joe like titty bks in his cls AMG the other week. i do plan to change the exhaust to a less obvious one right after 4WD

Haha! In all seriousness, trying to drive some of the local B-roads at any speed in anything lower than a bog-standard car is asking for trouble. - I've seen someone's front valance, and a mudflap ( 2 seperate incidents) in the road just this week, close to particularly rough bumps / holes! It's bad enough that another family member who drives a BMW Mini has to slow to 25-30 mph on a NSL road so that they don't trash their car.

However, it does mean that with my softly-sprung Citroen, I can now keep up with some performance cars in the twisties at least!nuts

I was going to suggest 1.7D (non-turbo, if it still exists). Then I remembered what a total nail the VX 1.6 is.

Meh! Boggo Sprinters etc do that. Car wise, Camry/Acura TL v6 era. 276 as STD, plenty more probably available (345 entry point?). In an appliance.

They don't.

Only the quickest Sprinters do it. And then they look like the quickest Sprinters.

This doesn't.

That's why it's a sleeper.

Now then get that shytebox Camry outta my way - I'M COMING THROUGH! biggrinbiggrin

Alpina B8 4.6
333hp/470Nm...
At 1000rpm it already produces 350Nm which is more than the max torque of an M3 Evo
