Just been to look at a car, a Mazda up for £7400 and was offered £2300 p/x for my Golf. It's a 2.8 4Motion, fsh, in good condition with just under 60k on the clock, does this sound about right?

Can you not sell the Golf privately, maybe a little later in the year when people want a 4WD.
ETA CAP price £2,050-2,200 with 60k so the valuation seems about right.

Type reg and milage into www.freecarvaluations.co.uk and that'll give you a book value.
They buy cars too, if you read the links, but I use it to get an idea of current values of cars I'm looking to buy.
