On hold with the finance company to check that I am ok to do this....

Whilst I am waiting is it better to advertise the car and include the fact that there is finance owing or leave it off and explain to the buyer when they view the car?

Finance outstanding is nearly a grand less than she is worth...

Thoughts appreciated....

Seller told me when I showed up to view a motorbike. I cleared finance directly with company and gave bloke the balance. Easy. Then again I don't get phased by such things.

Best have print out of settlement figure available for prospective buyers.

Are you planning to sell it, then pay the finance off immediately with the proceeds?

^^^^ Yup

Buyer must clear the finance direct with company (unless he's a complete idiot and happy to pay twice).

I have done this several times, both buying and selling. Just phone up finance company and get buyer to pay off finance with debit card, you both know the finance is cleared as you are both there making the call. Any money left over, just get buyer to give you the cash.
