Flat Pidgeons on the Road?

Why am I seeing so many expired Pidgeons today? Been all round Wembley to Iford and back to Harlow and I reckon I've seen at least ten!

Is it the change in weather or are there a lot of depressed/suicidal Pidgeons about?

Its the young ones with no experience around traffic. Has anyone ever noticed the suicidal birds that fly in front of your car at high speed, (and that a pigeon can out accelerate a 1.2 Panda up to 40mph)

Yes, and if you're a biker and riding in the rain, you're probably drinking a spray of mulched pigeon corpse along with other assorted bilge and scum.

It's because round here we only have crossings for zebras, pelicans and puffins but I haven't seen any round so assume they have all crossed safely. If they made badger, fox and hedgehog crossings, they'd all get across safely.

We have a new road near us where they have fitted aerial dormouse crossings though:
